FACTS TO REMEMBER:

  • California law states your only obligation is to pick the shop of your choice and inform your insurance company  where the vehicle is going. Your insurance company cannot direct you otherwise.
  • You are NOT required to have your automobile repaired or appraised in a shop recommended by your insurance company.
  • You are NOT required to get multiple repair estimates.
  • There is NO obligation for you to take your vehicle to an insurance company’s drive-in claim center. Your vehicle can be dropped off at the shop of your choice and your insurance company will schedule an adjuster to come out to prepare the estimate where you want.
  • Should the insurance company remit a check to you for your damages accept the check but do not signs anything that states that your vehicle is paid in full.
  • Differences in repair estimates are common. A lower estimate may not include all necessary work. If you’re not sure why one estimate is different from another you may have received please ask us.
